Steady

Support

Email info@steadyapp.app. A person reads it.

Please don't include anything you've written in the app unless you mean to. Steady is built so that your reflections never reach us, and an email is the one place that protection doesn't reach. A description of the problem is almost always enough.

Common questions

I paid, but the app still asks me to subscribe.

Tap Restore a purchase on the subscription screen. That asks Apple directly, and covers a new phone, a reinstall, or a purchase made on another device. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple Account you bought it with.

How do I cancel?

In iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops the renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get my writing out?

Yes, and you don't need a subscription. Open Me → Privacy Center → Export everything I've written. It produces a readable file with your reflections, reviews, commitments, loops, and self-assessments, which you can send wherever you like.

I got a new phone. Where is everything?

Steady stores everything on the device and does not sync to the cloud, so a new phone starts empty. Exporting before you switch is the only way to carry your writing across. Cloud sync is being considered, and would be optional.

How do I delete everything?

Me → Privacy Center → Delete all my data. It is immediate and permanent, and there is no copy anywhere else — we hold nothing to delete on our side.

The app says a save failed.

That banner means a write did not land, usually because the device is out of storage. Free some space and try again. Steady reports these rather than hiding them, because a reflection you wrote and lost is the worst thing this app could do to you.

Why does closing a loop want me to tell someone?

That is deliberate. If somebody is affected by what you were doing and hasn't been told the outcome, the loop is still open. It's the rule that makes follow-through measurable rather than self-reported.

Steady is not therapy, counselling, or medical care. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number, or in the US call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
